David Lawson

David Lawson, aka pastor Fizz for his amazingly fizzy approach to life, was born in Virginia and raised on a small farm. Although his grandfather was a Presbyterian minister, Fizz spent much of his life running away from the calling to preach. His passion for people and healing led him into the field of psychology, and as a licensed psychologist he counseled and primarily taught during the first quarter century of his life. Along with his wife Amy and their three children, he moved to Florida for another teaching gig, and shortly after arriving they added child number four. He has attended churches in many different denominations from Evangelical Free, to Presbyterian, Mennonite, Baptist, Orthodox, Assemblies of God and Wesleyan. Fizz has spent the last 9 years in the Methodist church where his soul was reawakened and his passion for preaching rekindled. Fizz loves anything sci-fi and all music from the 1980¹s – go Journey and Aha! His current favorite book series is Madeline L’Engle’s Wrinkle in Time. His love for creativity and imagination has him with three of his own writing projects underway, and he is excited to see if anyone is willing to read his current musings. Fizz is most excited about seeing what will happen when a community of people learn and live the truth that love is the most powerful force in the universe!
