For over 50 years, Peace Lutheran Church has been the home for hundreds of Lutheran Christians from all across the Black Hills region. Peace is located northeast of Mount Rushmore, in the center of Rapid City. We express a warm welcome to you in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ!

What to Expect

What are services like?
We follow the Divine Service as printed in our Lutheran Service Book. We sing hymns accompanied by an Organ (and occasionally a Piano). We are very friendly and welcoming but hold to our confessions, confessions of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and Martin Luther.

What is the community like?
Very friendly. Have members of all ages and have been blessed with a lot of families with young children these past few years.

What if I'm not a Christian?
All are welcome but ask that you speak to the Pastor or Elders prior to service, especially around Communion if you are not a confirmed member in good standing with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. We are all sinners and need God's word and forgiveness.
