Al was raised in Miami, born to Cuban parents. After graduating from the University of Florida he spent four years in the army where God made it clear he was to give his life to full-time ministry. (This would just be a more accurate time sequence instead of the other way around) He served on the staff of Christ for the Nations in Dallas for seven years and is a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. After pastoring a church in Atlanta for two years, he was equipped to start a church in south Florida. In November of 1996, Al fulfilled his dream to return to Miami and plant Palm Vista Community Church, where he now serves as lead pastor. Al loves cheering for the Florida Gators and reading up on war history, but more importantly he loves His Savior and he loves people. This same love has led Al into strategic relationships with pastors in many Latin American countries.
