Jakes, Sr., a native of Chicago Illinois, and has shared the gospel message and his gift of music to thousands across the globe. Pastor Jakes is highly respected by pastors and ministers of music all across the Atlanta area and the country where he has ministered the gospel and conducted workshops locally and nationally. This awesome visionary of God is admired by many for his passion for ministry. Being sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, with much prayer and pure passion to fulfill the assignment and vision of God, Pastor Jakes began the process of organizing the Light of the World Church International a passionate worshiping, mission driven, transforming body of Believers, who are dedicated to communicating the gospel of Jesus Christ, and demonstrating God’s unconditional love to the world.
