    George Feiser

The theme of Pastor George Feiser’s life could best be summed up by the statement, “People need the Lord, and I’ll do whatever it takes to bring Jesus Christ’s message of salvation, hope, and help to the people of Collin County.” Born in Argentia, Newfoundland, George spent the first eight years of his life traveling the world as a “Navy brat.” His family then returned to the States to resume civilian life in Independence, Missouri, where he grew up and met his wife, Sheryl. He received his B.A. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1977, and a master’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1986. Having received his pastoral training through Great Commission Ministries, he served as co-pastor of Doulos Fellowship in Columbia, Missouri from 1980-1987, and was an assistant pastor of Grace Community Church in Dallas from 1987-1989. He then founded the church, which was first named Grace Community Church in Plano in March 1989 with only twelve people. With his practical, positive, unpretentious, and down-to-earth teaching style, he has grown the church to an attendance of nearly two thousand each weekend. He and his wife, Sheryl, have three grown sons and two daughters-in-law, and they make their home in Plano, Texas.
