Legacy Church

About Us

A casual, contemporary, Christian church plant.

At Legacy Church, our mission is to help people become fully devoted followers of Christ whose faith will last for generations. We are a casual “come as you are” church that embraces diversity. Legacy Church provides a contemporary worship service starting at 10 AM every Sunday morning in the Harlem High School auditorium, conveniently located off exit 183 on I-20. We also stream our services using Facebook Live. Legacy Church offers a Kids Ministry, Youth Program, Small Groups, and a friendly atmosphere that you may be searching for in a church. See you there!

What to Expect

What are services like?
Like great music? You will find it here at Legacy Church. Our praise band is not here to entertain you, but to help you freely lift your hands up in worship so that you can feel the Holy Spirit move in this place without judgement. Awesome messages? We have those too! Pastor Steven Adams doesn't plan out sermons for the year. He listens to what God lays on his heart and builds his messages based on where God is leading him. He is not afraid to change a sermon at the last minute if that is where he feels he is being led. Where are you gonna sit? Sit where ever you please. There are no reserved seats (pews) here. Come sit next to me and we will worship together!

What is the community like?
Looking for a place that is friendly and will accept you for being you? Legacy Church is that place! You will be greeted with warm smiles, hugs, handshakes, high fives, daps, or whatever greeting you like. We are a come as you are church where you can where your best Sunday attire to shorts, t-shirt, and flip-flops and no one will mind. Want a place where you can fit in? No matter what, you will fit in here. We have a diverse group of people who will love you regardless, of race, gender, age, or ethnic background. We all come together for one purpose and that is to serve and worship the Lord! Want to get together outside of church? We do that too! Legacy Church has small groups where you can do life together while learning about Jesus and the Bible. But they also like to have fun as well. Middle school and High School students have a place to hangout also. They meet every Wednesday at the Harlem Senior Center where they learn, grow and have fun with other students who are just like them. Is service your thing? Legacy Church is a church plant with many different ways to serve and get plugged in. God loves to take your gifts that He has given you and use them to help grow the Kingdom.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Not a Christian? That is okay. Jesus loves you! Let me say it louder for the people in the back... JESUS LOVES YOU! And so do we. Just come and worship with us anyway. Ask the tough questions. Even if we don't know the exact answer, we would love to walk with you to find the answer together.

Legacy Church has been a blessing to me. Because of health problems from time to time, I have not been able to attend my own church. Legacy Church provides a live video of their church services. The music is upbeat and the service itself is very meaningful. I love that they have programs for youth no matter what age they are! My son and his family attend chuch there and it has been a blessing to see the whole family involved. Thank you for all you do to spread the word of God!

I love that Legacy Church delivers great biblical messages that I can apply to my life! My family has been a part of Legacy since it was planted in 2016. Everyone is warm and friendly and dressed casually, so I never feel judged. The meaningful messages, contemporary praise band, youth and children’s ministries, as well as small groups have been true blessing to us. When you visit Legacy Church, expect to meet a lot of people who are glad to share in your worship experience!
