    Robert Crossmyer

    On August 19, 1984, Fr. Bob made his 1st Profession in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He was ordained a Priest on May 21, 1988 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Chicago, Illinois. He began his career as a Passionist as an Ordained Deacon in 1987, spending four years at St. Clotilde Parish in Chicago. For seven years, Fr. Bob worked with the AA Program at Holy Name Retreat Center in Houston, Texas. He was the Associate Pastor at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Chicago for one year. On July 1, 1995, Fr. Bob was appointed pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church and Local Superior in Birmingham, Alabama. Fr. Bob has been a teacher at Holy Family Cristo Rey High School since 1995 and has impacted several young people over the years. He serves on several boards: a Consortium member for the Office of Black Catholic Concerns, the Bethesda House, and Holy Family Cristo Rey High School.

    Robert Crossmyer

    Fr. Robert Crossmyer was born in Detroit Michigan. He was the oldest of two sons born to the late Elmer and Dorothy Crossmyer. He was baptized at Our Lady, Gate of Heaven Catholic Church. Fr. Bob’s formative education began at Horace Mann Elementary School, St. Suzanne Catholic Elementary School, and Frank Cody High School. He received a scholarship to Detroit Institute of Art. He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts degrees from Wayne State University. He has a Secondary Education Certificate. Fr. Bob realized early on that he had a love for teaching. He taught in Detroit Public School system for thirteen years at the following: Thomas Cooley High, Henry Ford High School, Warren G. Harding Jr. High ,and William Howard Taft Jr. High School and Cerveny M.S. His love for teaching continues at Holy Family Cristo Rey High School. On August 19, 1984, Fr.
