JoAnna Landers
Administrative Assistant

JoAnna came to know Jesus as her Savior as a young child and continued to grow in her knowledge and understanding of Jesus as Lord of her life, well into adulthood. JoAnna graduated with her Master of Architecture from Judson University in 2010 and used her giftings in that field until the Lord called her and her husband, Josh, to full-time ministry. She spent the early years of their children's lives (Libby is 9 and Eli is 7) at home. She has been working as the Administrative Assitant in the church office for the past 2 years. She finds joy in communicating with the church family, keeping them up to date on how they can serve and be served by others, pray for one another, and get involved in the work the Lord is doing through His people at Hillside. She looks forward to seeing how the Lord will continue to use her and this church for His glory!

Adam Ayers
Worship Director

Adam was born in 2000 in Valparaiso Indiana. He came to know the Lord in 2005 through a basketball camp run by his local church that his parents sent him to. He is currently attending Moody Bible Institute for a degree in Youth Ministry. He has been the worship director at Hillside since 2021. You can connect with him at [email protected]

Darrell Ross
Elder

Darrell received Jesus as Lord and Savior at age 9 after hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ whilst attending church with his family. Member of HCC since 2020. Darrell and Vicky were married on 10-20-1984 at First Baptist Church in Nederland Texas. He serves in the Children’s Ministry, Mission Committee, and Elder Board.

David Woodworth
Elder

David accepted Christ as his personal savior as a young boy during Vacation Bible School, in the summer of 1962 in Owatonna, MN. Member of HCC since 1991, having served as Worship Leader & Praise Team member, past Moderator, past Deacon, and Elder since 2010. David and Cindi were married on 6-7-2008 at HCC. Joe Brown

Larry Bright
Elder

Larry accepted Jesus as his Savior and was baptized at Hillside when he was 18. Shortly after, he enlisted in the Air Force for a 20 year career before moving back to Crown Point in 2014. He and his wife, Paula, have been members of Hillside since moving back, and Larry has served on the Elder Board and as the sound tech for much of that time.

Josh Landers
Senior Pastor

Joshua Landers is the Senior Pastor at Hillside. Before being called into this position, he served for 4 years as the youth/assistant pastor at Hillside. He graduated in 2019 from Moody Theological Seminary, with a Master's of Divinity in Pastoral studies. He is a father of 2 (Libby-9 yrs and Eli-7 yrs) and has been married to his wife (JoAnna) for 12+ years. The Lord has blessed him with various experiences with youth, teaching, and coaching for 7 years. He graduated with a double major in mathematics and secondary education from Judson University in Elgin IL in 2008. He prays that the Lord will use him to further His kingdom, disciple Christians in their walk, and help bring light to those living in darkness.
