    Louis Carr

    Rev. Louis Carr has been the Campus Pastor at Heritage since June of 2010. Louis is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and serves on various conference and district committees. Louis received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Prairie View A&M University, where he played football and golf. He also completed his Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. While at Brite he became the first African American elected student body president in the history of the school. Louis has served various churches in the Central Texas Conference. He served as youth director at Saint Andrew’s United Methodist in Arlington. He left SAUMC to become the pastor of St. Luke UMC in Mexia. The church doubled in size during Louis’ tenure. He also served as the pastor of St. James UMC in Waco.
