Bud Leskovac

Bud Leskovac grew up in Greenville, Pennsylvania, married his high school sweetheart Pam in 1977, and soon had three young children. He settled into a successful insurance sales career with Prudential Securities and volunteered with Pam as the youth pastors of Maysville Community Church, a vibrant non-denominational congregation on the outskirts of the small steel-mill town. In 1987, Bud received God’s call to full-time ministry. In faith, he and his young family moved away from Pennsylvania and God led them to a home in Ashville, Ohio. Bud began attending classes at nearby Circleville Bible College. During the next two years, Bud and Pam began feeling God’s call into the Methodist denomination. The Methodist denomination first appointed Bud in 1989 to be the student pastor of a three-church charge in Washington Court House, Ohio: Staunton, White Oak Grove, and Sugar Grove United Methodist Churches. The family served there from 1989 to 1995. During this time Bud attended The Ohio State University and Liberty University. He was then appointed to be the Associate Pastor at Church of the Master in Westerville, Ohio from 1995 to 1998. He began attending Otterbein University. From 1998 to 2000, Bud was appointed to serve as the Pastor of a young, new church, Servant of Christ UMC, which was meeting in an elementary school gymnasium in Westerville. In 2000, Servant of Christ UMC in Westerville, Ohio, and New Hope UMC in Galena, Ohio merged under Bud’s leadership. The congregation made its home in New Hope’s church building on Harlem Road in Harlem Township. Soon thereafter, the name of the body of believers that merged together became Harlem Road Church. Pastor Bud has served at Harlem Road Church since then. He is a regularly requested denominational consultant when other United Methodist churches consider merging. He and Pam have now served in this denomination for more than 20 years. Pastor Bud is an avid golfer and outdoorsman and most recently has taken up motorcycle riding.
