Kevin Kissel

Kevin is the son of a United Methodist pastor, so he was pretty much raised in the church. With a strong interest in math and science, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Sciences from Creighton University in Omaha, NE, and served as an Air Force meteorologist for 10 years. Kevin began to believe God had another plan for his life in the 1990s. So after much prayer he chose to leave the Air Force for seminary and a life of full-time ministry within the church. In 1997 he graduated from Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, with a Master of Divinity degree. Since that time he has served in five churches within the Texas Annual Conference. Kevin is married to Karen. She is a certified schoolteacher in fine arts and business administration. She has been actively involved with ministry in the church throughout her life. Kevin and Karen have a total of five children (Dustin, Jon, Emily, Elizabeth, and Mark). They are proud of all of them, and love them dearly.
