    Steve Oster
    Pastor

Steve is passionate to share the Good News with young people and see them set free in Christ. In his own walk he has overcome struggles and tribulations that help him connect to this generation. He brings a practical application to the Word of God, with an appropriate and cutting edge style. With a mixture of humor, true life stories, and a hunger to present God’s truth, he captivates audiences of all ages. Before entering Ministry Steve had a successful business career and spent eight years serving in the National Guard. Since 2003 he has been serving as the Youth and Children’s Minister at First Presbyterian Church of Minot, ND. During this time he has seen many teens set free in Christ from addictions and self-injury. He is dedicated to fight the fight, finish the race, and see victory in this generation. Since 2006 Steve has been a regular co-host of the radio broadcast “Souled Out” which can be heard around the world at www.khrt.com. As an advocate for this generation, Steve has been on several mission trips to places like Reynosa, Mexico and Kenya, Africa. In addition to international missions, Steve has recognized that there is a vast mission field in the United States in dire need of servants; thus, Steve has led teens on mission trips around America hosting Vacation Bible School in the inner city of Yakima, Washington and aiding in post-Katrina reconstruction efforts in New Orleans, Louisiana. Steve’s passion for young people is evident with his dedicated work at Vacation Bible School, organizing community events such as block parties to raise money for area soup kitchens, and serving on work forces for events such as concerts and many other community events. With a group of local teens, Steve has taken to the streets in Minot and in other towns in the region, to share the Good News with young people all over!
