Who We Are

Our Worship
We seek to praise God by giving Him the honor in spirit and in truth.1 Our Lord has commanded us to worship Him as He has directed us, not how we might feel or think are appropriate ways.2 (1 John 4:24; 2 Deut. 5:8-10)
Our Belief
We believe that the Bible, Old and New Testaments, are the inspired and infallible Word of God.1 As everyone has a statement of their faith, written or not, ours is stated in the historic creeds, the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession of Faith, and the Canons of Dort, which were written during the great revival known as the Reformation. We believe that all men have fallen into sin and are in need of God's salvation in the one substitutionary death of Jesus Christ on the cross.2 We look forward to that great day when Christ will return to usher in the eternal kingdom.3 (1 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Rom. 5:8; 3 Rev. 22)
Our Government
We have a presbyterian form of government. The affairs of the church are governed by the minister, elders, and deacons1 in a consistory, while the spiritual concerns are watched over by the ministers and elders. The congregation is united with other congregations to form a regional body called a Classis and the Classes form the denomination the Reformed Church in the United States.2 (1 Phil.1:1; 2 Acts15)
Your Invitation
We invite anyone to join Eureka Reformed Church who in true repentance confesses his sin and misery, who believes that he is redeemed only by Christ's blood, and who is thankful to God for such redemption. The pastor would be happy to meet with anyone would like learn more about our church.

Rev. Richard Stetler

Rev. Richard Stetler

I was called to pastor the Eureka Reformed Church (RCUS), Eureka, SD beginning October 2006 and have been serving the Lord here ever since. I was licensed to preached on September 15, 2006 and ordained a Minister of the Word on April 15, 2007 by the Northern Plains Classis of the RCUS. From the year 2000 to 2006 I study for the ministry, earning a Masters of Divinity Degree from New Geneva Theological Seminary in Colorado Springs, CO. Prior to being called to the ministry in 2006, I worked in the investiment real estate industry including marketing, investment development and financing, consulting, acquisitions, corporate negotiations, and lease administration from 1977. During that time I also served as an elder at three different RCUS churches in California, Missouri, and Colorado.
