Edith Young
Director of MusicEdith Marlo Young is native of Oakland, FL and a product of Orange County schools. She graduated with a Bachelors and Masters in Music Education from Florida State University and has been a public school choral director since 1996. She has been singing since the age of 3 and in the music ministry since the age of 13.

Debbie Hairel
Minister of Senior AdultsDebbie grew up here in College Park attending Edgewater HS and Valencia Community College. She has been a member here at Church on the Drive for 48 years and became Minister of Senior Adults 9 years ago. She is married to her high school sweetheart Bud, they have one daughter Cori who lives in Winter Park.

Cynthia McInvale
Minister of Church AdministrationCynthia has served at the church since 1998 and has been the church administrator since 2001. She is married to Bill and has 4 children, 3 stepchildren, and 2 daughters-in-law.

Abby Mejeur
Instrumental Music AssociateAbby has directed the Church on the Drive orchestra and handbell choir (Celebration Ringers) for the past twelve years. She also currently leads the children’s choir – Music Makers. She received her Bachelors and Masters of Music Education degrees from Florida State University. She is married to Randy Mejeur and they have two children, Elsa, and Jurrien.

Nursery CoordinatorLindsay has served as the nursery coordinator since 2012.

Jack Mercer
Senior PastorJack is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. Before coming to Church on the Drive, Jack served churches in Kentucky, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Virginia. The last two churches he served were in the university settings of James Madison University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill respectively. He has served in various leadership roles including the National Coordinating Council of CBF and Moderator of CBF Virginia. Jack also served as a content editor for the preaching section in The Christian Library of Worship edited by the late Robert E. Webber. Nothing gives Jack more joy than helping churches experience spiritual and organizational renewal and raising up the “next generation” of Christian leaders. During his ministry over twenty men and women have gone on to serve in full-time Christian ministry. Jack and his wife, Sandy, lead a Bible study for young adults in their home on Thursday nights. Jack is married to Sandy Mercer who is an Exceptional Student Education teacher at Lake Silver Elementary School in College Park. Sandy is involved in the church’s prayer, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and children’s ministries. Jack and Sandy’s older daughter, her husband, and two children live in St. Augustine, Florida. Their younger daughter lives and works in New York City.
