Jim Humphries

Jim has served as pastor of Christ since 2006, having previously served United Methodist Churches in Huntersville, and eastern NC. He’s been married to Lisa for 25 years, and has three children: Emma (21), Abby (16), and Jack (11). Jim is a second-career pastor, having spent more than 10 years in the business world before pursuing a call into ordained ministry. He received his Bachelors Degree in Journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill; and his Masters of Divinity from Duke University (his college basketball loyalty remains with the “lighter shade of blue”). Jim believes that the Bible is something to be lived out in the world, and therefore invites Christ UMC to be not merely “hearers” but “doers” of the word
