Pastor Phil Ballmaier is Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel in Elk Grove Village. They meet each week at the Jack Claes Pavilion at 1000 Wellington Avenue, in Elk Grove Village in the Garden Terrace Room. On Sundays at 8:30 and 10:30 AM and on Wednesday Nights at 7PM. What began as a small home bible study back in 1980 with a few individuals, we held our first Sunday service in January of 1981. By God's grace Calvary Chapel Elk Grove continues to grow in to a fellowship of over 200. Pastor Phil has been honored to have led several pastors that the Lord raised up and branched out to plant their own churches; two in other Illinois cities, one in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and one in Franklin, Tennessee. Pastor Phil has a verse-by-verse, expository approach to teaching and preaching God's Word. Serving alongside Phil are Assistant Pastors Michael Titre and Bob Gerts. Over the years we have continued to see the faithfulness of God and He continues to provide for our needs and has brought in many wonderful people to serve. Pastor Ballmaier has been broadcasting the radio program, Day By Day on AM1160, for over 14 years now and is blessed to have many dedicated radio and podcast listeners in the Chicago area. He also broadcasts on several other stations reaching Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska. God has opened the door for him to occasionally guest host on Battleground, and Biblical Insights, a weekly live call-in radio program on the Calvary Radio Network. Pastor Phil has taught at Men's Retreats and conferences, and at the Calvary Chapel Bible College in Indianapolis. "...Our whole ministry can be summed up this way: to glorify God by faithfully serving and reaching out to others through His love and the teaching of His Word. We are grateful that He uses the weak, the foolish, the nobodies of this world to show Himself strong through. To God be the glory for the great things He has done!..."
