    David Cousin

    Rev. David Byron Cousin, Sr., is the 60th pastor of Bridge Street AME Church. Having received the call to ministry at the tender age of seventeen, Pastor Cousin prepared himself for the pastorate by receiving his bachelor of arts degree at Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama and his Master of Divinity degree from Boston University School of Theology. Pastor Cousin is the son of Bishop Philip Robert Cousin, Sr. a retired presiding prelate in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and Mrs. Margaret Grier Cousin. He has four brothers who are also ordained ministers in the African Methodist Episcopal Church: Philip, Jr. (Bethel AME Church, San Francisco, CA); Steven (presiding elder in the 5th Episcopal District; Michael (St. Stephens AME Church, Detroit, MI); Joseph (Bethel AME Church, Ann Arbor, MI). Rev. Cousin is married to his college sweetheart Rev. Valerie Kendrick of Anniston, Alabama. They are the proud parents of two sons: David, Jr. and Matthew Joseph; and one granddaughter Melody Joan Griffin Cousin.
