Scott is a native of Sulphur, Oklahoma, and came to know the Lord at a young age. He graduated Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, with a degree in agriculture in 1990. After graduation, he met and married Lori (also an OSU graduate with a degree in education) and spent some time in Virginia working as a nuclear mechanic on an aircraft carrier for the United States Navy. After returning to Oklahoma, Scott and Lori were happy to settle down and raise their two children (Sarah and Kyle), but the Lord had other plans. The Davis family began attending Faith Bible Church in Edmond, OK, and saw the emphasis on the study of Scripture that was evident there. As a result, Scott began to see how the Lord might use him in vocational ministry. He attended and graduated Dallas Theological Seminary with a passion for the in-depth study and communication of the Word of God and its application to every aspect of life. Scott is passionate about being a disciple of Jesus Christ, sharing God's wonderful grace with others, and thinking deeply about the big questions of the universe. He enjoys spending time with his family, living off the land, and finding the humor in life. He believes Christians should take themselves less seriously, take God very seriously, and serve the Lord simply because He is worthy. Scott and Lori are humbled and excited to be a part of what God is doing through the body of believers At Berean Bible Church.
