Trinity Presbyterian Church is located on Washington, a block over from Delmar in the Loop of U-City. The historic church welcomes ALL who profess faith in Jesus Christ without prejudice. Activities and ministries are available for the entire family. Trinity has been a beacon in the community since 1922. Our doors are open to everyone. Education of all ages at 9:30am, inclusive worship @ 10:30am, and a time for fellowship and treats at 11:30am. Come experience our eclectic music, strong preaching, dedication to social justice and friendly congregation.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Each Sunday is different! We follow a fairly traditional service structure (prelude, Call to Worship, hymn, scripture readings, choir anthem, sermon, prayers, offering, communion (first Sunday of the month), hymn, benediction), but we there is lots of creativity and flexibility in that structure! Sermons at Trinity cover a wide range of topics: personal faith, community life in the church, and social justice. The sermons use everyday language and are designed to help everyone grow in faith. Music at Trinity covers a wide range of styles: classical, early American folk, spirituals, gospel, and contemporary. From time to time we even use bluegrass, Dixieland jazz, and bagpipes. At Trinity we have an adult choir and a hand bell choir. Occasionally we have guest musicians or a children's choir who add a new dimension to our worship, so there is something for everyone!

What is the community like?
Friendly, accepting of people at very different places on their faith journey, questioning, intelligent, musical, welcoming and affirming of our gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered brothers and sisters.

What if I'm not a Christian?
C'mon by and check us out! Trinity is a place where you are encouraged to ask questions and explore your faith. You will find people all across the spectrum of belief and expression of that belief. You are welcome here if you are not a Christian.
