St. George is my family church. My two brothers and I were baptized and confirmed here. My oldest brother Richard and I both received our first Holy Communion here. I have so many great memories from growing up here in the 1960's - 1970's. My favorite memory was my first Holy Communion. We were the first people to receive communion from the new Chalice. I remember how the jewels sparkled off the chalice in the lights. When i taught Sunday school in adulthood I always tell them how special it was. I felt like a baby bird being fed with the little spoon as I tilted my head back to recieve our Lord. My faith and love was developed here. I also remember the Sundays when the bread basket was on the altar. I would place my nickel in the basket and take a handful of bread. My parents were Richard John and Alice Eva Brenner. My grandmother was Anna Kuchmas Brenner. Please contact me for more memories if you would like to. My email is [email protected]. Thank you for all the love and memories that still fill my heart.
