What to Expect

What are services like?
Services begin solemnly, with confession and pardon of sin, followed by a processional hymn. We sing or say the ancient prayers (Kyrie eleison) and (except for Lent and Advent) the Gloria in Excelsis. We read scripture from the Old Testament, and Epistle, and Gospel and pray a Psalm (usually sung) every week. We sing a hymn of the day (related to the sermon), confess an historic creed of the Church (Nicene from Advent through Easter, Apostles for the Season after Pentecost), pray comprehensively for the church and the world, and then offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving to God with our gifts of bread and wine at Communion. Refreshed, equipped, and fed in worship by the Word of God and the living Christ, we are sent forth to live as Christ's body in the world.

What is the community like?
We are a mix of people from a variety of backgrounds and ages.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You will be welcome here. And you will experience worship that reaches from the earliest Christian traditions to the present day.
