About Us

Sustainably Fueled by a Higher Power

Grace Church is a place of healing and creativity, actively seeking new ways to be open to God, to each other and to the needs of the world.

Whether it's in a worship service or in a recovery meeting, the art studio, out in the garden or at a GLOW (Growing a Life Of Wholeness) event, our intention at Grace Church is to open the way for people to experience God's healing presence in their lives. You are welcome just as you are at Grace Church. Bring everything - even your brokenness - God welcomes everyone to the table, and so do we. Grace Church is a place of healing and a safe place for your explorations, questions - even your doubts. Grace Church's doors are always open, and you're invited to come and change us.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Services follow ancient liturgical traditions, but are casual and open. While we take our worship seriously, we are not fussy. Sermons are relevant to today and time to think about our own reactions to the sermon and readings is included. Music is led by a passionate pianist/organist and a heartfelt choir. We have just one service on Sunday mornings because our people love to be together. We also have an early morning meditation every Weds morning for those who'd like to learn or practice meditation and silent centering prayer. Special seasonal services are described on our website.

What is the community like?
We are a small but definitely growing congregation with people from newborn through 98. Our emphasis is on intergenerational support and relationships rather than age specific programming. We care a whole lot about healing and wholeness and don't spend an ounce of energy on anything that does not have something to do with that. We are particularly keen on supporting those in recovery. Grape juice (or, what we call very, very new wine) is served at communion in addition to traditional wine.

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you're curious about the way of Jesus, Grace Church is an open minded and welcoming place to explore it, no matter what you think, believe or doubt. If you've been hurt by the church in the past, Grace Church is a safe place to question and heal. If you know nothing about church at all, Grace Church is a supportive place to learn. At Grace, we all dance with the big questions instead of proclaiming any big answers.
