Good day. I am writing to you from Russia asking for help. My name is Rostislav. My family is wife Tatiana and son Yakov 12 years old. We are citizens of Russia, but Ukrainians by nationality. We live in Murmansk. I came to this city from Kiev back in Soviet times at the age of 16. After February 24, 2022, it became impossible to be among people who support the death of innocent people in Ukraine. My wife and I are afraid to openly express our opinion because the country has adopted laws that provide for penalties from administrative to criminal. My son was attacked by classmates at school because he is Ukrainian by nationality. We are forced to leave, but Ukraine does not allow Russian citizens to enter the country because there are fighting there. Staying in Russia over time is becoming more dangerous for health and life. The degree of military hysteria is growing - companies are starting to search for the fifth column. Our family is not rich, although I have been working all my life. For this reason, I ask you for help. Any help. At least by word, at least by deed. We are healthy, strong, educated people. We can bring a lot of benefits to a country that will not abandon us in difficult times. I feel sorry for my son, an inquisitive and capable boy who may have prospects of becoming what he wants, and not cannon fodder in a terrible war of other people's ambitions. Help us find our way to a country where we will not look into tomorrow with fear.
