What to Expect

What are services like?

Early Worship @ 8:45 AM is contemporary with Praise Team and Praise Band; song styles to include Tomlin, Brewster, Hillsong. Traditional Worship @ 11:00 AM. Pipe Organ, Choir, Liturgy, Traditional and Blended musical styles.


What is the community like?

A downtown First Baptist Church, the community is a very blended community with two historically black colleges a short distance from the church. Our church community is comprised of all ages.


What if I'm not a Christian?

Sharing our faith is an important part of our Mission statement and our goal as a congregation. We teach, pray, preach, and sing of God's love and the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Ryan Tucker

Ryan comes to FBC with over 11 years of experience as a Minister of Students in three different churches in the Southeastern United States and with experience as a lead pastor of a church plant in Montana. Ryan and his wife Courtney have been married for nearly 13 years and have one daughter named Avery. In addition to his experience, Ryan has earned a Master of Divinity Degree from the Baptist Theological Seminary in Richmond and Bachelor of Science Degree from Cumberland College in Kentucky.
