The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany
About Us
The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany is a growing community of faith located in the heart of Historic Danville, Virginia...Founded in 1840 by The Rev. George Washington Dame, the church has as its core values, Worship, Mission, Outreach, Music and Youth. Our vision statement: "Epiphany enlightens and enriches the lives of its members and neighbors by bringing the light of Christ alive through worship, hospitality, fellowship, education and service."
The twice a week feeding programs provides hot meals, bagged lunches and take-away lunches to hundreds of the hungry in our community. Epiphany has a growing, vibrant youth program focused on building followers of Jesus Christ. We also have exciting young adult opportunities like Theology on Tap 2.0, which meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 8:00 p.m. in the River District to discuss the world and modern life in light of our faith, a place where all viewpoints are welcome.

jennifer whiteOur parish is diverse and loving. This post on FaithStreet is quite outdated as our rector, Fr. Jon Anderson, has been with us for over two years. We are striving to be a caring force for good in our community, sharing God's love in palpable ways. We also have a new and very talented organist, and our pipe organ is considered to be among the finest in the area. Hopefully we will soon reopen for in person worship as the pandemic begins to lessen. Come see us!
