Equipping People for Life

We are the oldest Church in Lewis County, established in 1829! We are an Independent Baptist Church that holds to Baptist doctrines handed down from the Apostles to different persecuted believers throughout the ages. We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ though the singing of hymns and preaching from the King James Bible. The Church is made up of all age groups and welcomes visitors!

What to Expect

What are services like?
WBC holds traditional services with singing of hymns, taking an offering, some special music, but the most important aspect is the preaching of the Word of God. We are Bible centered in all we do as we believe the Holy Scriptures are the only authority given to the Local Church.

What is the community like?
We are a small congregation where everyone knows everyone! It also means that we love to have new people come in and join our family! We are loving, welcoming, and friendly to all!

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you are investigating faith in the Lord Jesus, this is a great place to start! We are not pushy or demanding in our approach to proselytizing. Our Church believes and practices that it is our duty to preach the truth and the Lord's duty to convict hearts and minds.
