Erick & Nicole Matthews

Pastors Erick and Nicole Matthews are a dynamic ministry team who are passionate about GOD, His work and His people. As Founders of Word Worship Center, they are wholly committed to multicultural worship, powerful preaching, practical teaching, prophetic instruction; and promotion of unity, equality and love regardless of race, gender, age, class or denomination. Pastor Erick D. Matthews Sr is known nationwide as a phenomenal gospel recording artist; but he certainly brings more to the table than gifts to sing, compose and produce music. In 1995, Pastor Erick publicly accepted his call to the ministry under the leadership of his father, Bishop Joseph Matthews (The Way of the Lord Ministries). Although preaching and teaching before that time, he felt the leading of the Holy Ghost to publicly accept the calling upon his life. After two years of preaching and teaching the Word of GOD, Minister Matthews then was ordained as an Elder in 1997. Knowing then that there was a call on his life to pastor, he began to pray to the Lord as to when he would start; and eleven years later, he and his wife (Pastor Nicole) launched Word Worship Center on Sunday, September 4, 2011. Pastor Nicole Matthews is a powerful minister and motivational speaker, an anointed singer and recording artist, a published author and mentor who has dedicated her life and time to spreading the word of God and testifying of His healing power. As a compassionate leader, her heart is patterned after God’s to care and help those who have been rejected, hurt, lost, broken and abandoned. Pastor Nicole’s desire to help restore, mend and empower people to see themselves through the eyes of God stems from her own life changing testimony of abandonment by an ex-husband, losing everything she owned and experiencing victorious transformation. GOD has literally taken Pastor Nicole from the small town of Steelton, Pennsylvania to the nation and even overseas to share His message of hope that past hurts can be overcome through the healing power of Jesus’ blood. The Matthews’ are privileged to be under the spiritual covering of Dr. R.A. Vernon (“THE WORD” CHURCH, Ohio) as well as Apostle Vance and Prophetess Debbie Russell (Arise Ministries International, TX). Word Worship Center is blessed to have such powerfully anointed ministry influences imparting into its founders.
