John Torres

Is an International Evangelist and the Lead Pastor of Word & Spirit International Church in Eugene, Oregon John was born and raised in Rapid City, South Dakota where he and his parents were members of a Spirit Filled Church. John accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord at the age of 5 and received a distinct and divine call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was water baptized at age 7 and baptized in the Holy Spirit at age 12 at a Black Hills youth camp. In the fall of 1974, in response to God’s call, John moved to Eugene, Oregon to attend Eugene Bible College (EBC) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree. During his time at EBC, John met his wife Helen and they were married in the fall of 1978. John has been a licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel, since 1981, he ministers under an apostolic, prophetic and healing anointing, with a strong and inspiring preaching ability. He is a revivalist, who activates the saints to greater ministry and as an evangelist, wins the lost to Jesus Christ. John has done graduate studies through California Graduate School of Theology. He has been a youth camp speaker, a leader in community pastor’s associations, a speaker for various churches and seminars. John has served in a number of leadership positions within a Spirit Filled Association of Churches. He has travelled and ministered internationally for the last eighteen years, doing pastor and leadership events, conferences and crusades. John’s messages can be viewed each week on regional television, on the KLSR-Fox and KEVU affiliates. John Torres TV has been on the air, for the past 14 years.
