What to Expect

What are services like?
In our 8:30 worship service we keep it traditional with hymns. For our 11:00 service we have a blended approach combining the hymns of the faith with more contemporary praise and worship songs that you hear on Christian radio. When you arrive at WBC you will be greated and given any necessary information about the church you might need. It is a casual atmosphere. We at WBC focus more on the inward reality of a person rather than their outward appearance.

What is the community like?
As a church family we strive to make everyone feel like they belong here at WBC. The church is situated just off a main highway at Smith Mountain Lake. We have people of all types of backgrounds who worship with us on Sundays and Wednesday nights.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We try to live by a motto, "Every saint has a past and every sinner can have a better future." At WBC we try to remember what it was like before we became Christian and use that mentality to encourage anyone and everyone to come worship with us and love about the love of Jesus Christ that changed us, and we are confident that that same love can change anyone.
