As a fellowship of believers our greatest desire is to know Christ and to make Him known. Strengthened by Him, we aspire to live our lives in a way that demonstrates the love, humility, and servant-hearted character of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
What are services like?
We have a blended worship service, integrating contemporary worship and traditional hymns in a fluid mix. We focus primarily on being spirit-filled and spirit-led, but create a worship space designed to resonate with people of all generations and musical preferences. Our sermons seek to be engaging, relevant and practical (sermon podcasts are available at our website: http://www.vffc.org/#!sermons/c1xu8).
What is the community like?
We are an especially warm and welcoming small community church.
What if I'm not a Christian?
We'd love to have you visit us. We're a welcoming and safe place where questions about faith and life are encouraged.
Leadership
Jedediah Maclaurin
Jedediah’s greatest passion in life is seeing people’s lives transformed through the power of Christ’s love. His life verses are 1 John 4:16, Galatians 2:20, and John 12:24 - "God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them", "My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me", and "Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies [to itself], it bears much fruit."
Jedediah received his Master of Divinity degree from George Fox Evangelical Seminary. More than anything, he loves to see people transformed and renewed from the inside-out, awakened to the indwelling presence of the Living God. Jed and his wife Lizette enjoy hiking and backpacking in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, with their 140-pound Saint Bernard, Eli. Jed is an avid reader whose influences include George Fox, St. Francis of Assisi, John Wesley, Irenaeus of Lyons, Brother Lawrence, and Thomas Kelly, among others.
