About Us

Solid biblical teaching, traditional worship

One of our goals at ValleyView Church is to make the worship services center on three things:

The First is solid, in-depth preaching/ teaching of the Bible. In fact, since the pastor is a college Professor of Bible, you might sometimes wonder if you are in a college Bible class. We are convinced that spiritual growth comes from a continual intake and application of the Word of God. Peter wrote, “as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:2).

A second emphasis is on selecting worship music (hymns and choruses) that either attributes praise and thanksgiving directly to God, or focuses on the attributes and blessings of God (You may be surprised by how many Christian songs and hymns do not do either).

The third emphasis is on Scripture reading. Paul wrote to Timothy saying, “Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching” (1 Timothy 4:13). Each Sunday we will have public Scripture readings from both Old and New Testaments.

If you do not already have a church family, please consider visiting ValleyView.
