About Us

Where you are family!

We are finding our way to God. We see Christianity as a journey and an experience that is best done in an authentic Christ centered community.

We are a community of friends investigating a relationship with God, some of us for the first time. We are on a journey to share that story and the hope it brings, and to sojourn together towards Christ.

What to Expect

What are services like?
The United Methodist Church of Mantua provides two regular worship opportunities every Sunday: 9:15 – 10:15 AM By far the largest of the two, characterized by a pre-planned order of worship, featuring the church’s choirs and a children’s message. Organ music accompanies traditional hymns from the UM Hymnal and praise songs from the “Faith We Sing” songbook. Robed clergy (between the first Sunday in October and Memorial Day, then it’s jackets and ties for the summer) lead in preaching, prayer, and praise. Child care is provided. 11:00- 11:55 AM Instituted just a few years ago, this service runs concurrently with the Sunday School hour (11:00 – 12 noon), and was designed primarily as an incentive to parents who may not wish to attend Sunday School themselves, but might like to worship (of course, everyone is welcome). This service is a contemporary version of the 9:15 service: clergy are not robed, nor are there choirs or a children’s message (children are in Sunday School). Our Praise Team leads the congregation in singing contemporary Christian music as well as some old favorites.

What is the community like?
Our Church community is warm and welcoming. The United Methodist Church of Mantua offers a variety of opportunities to get involved and get connected. We offer Sunday School for all ages, Music Opportunities in our vocal and instrumental choirs, our contemporary praise band, and our coffee house ministry. We have a Family Fun Ministry and a Camping Fellowship that provide activities throughout the year. Our youth group is active in our both our local and faith-communities. Plus much more! Stop by to visit us. Strangers become friends here.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We are all on a faith journey. Some of us may be at different spots on the path, but as a faith community, we are traveling together. There are no perfect people here, but we would love the opportunity to tell you more about Jesus, and what He has done in each of our lives. We welcome all seekers, no matter where they are on their journey of faith.
