What are services like?
We have a casual, blended worship style. A typical service would have a mix of progressive Christian music - updated traditional hymns, newer choruses and songs from around the world - mostly accompanied by piano or organ, sometimes with guitar or acapella. Music plays a big part in our worship. We try to make it easier for those managing infants and small children by having rocking chairs, space to wiggle and spread out, and children's activity bags. We also have a paid professional in the nursery for parents who prefer that option. The pastor offers a children's moment in every service for some up-close and personal time with children and youth We celebrate communion together at least once a month, and the table is open to all. On other Sundays, we have an interactive prayer station somewhere in the sanctuary, or share joys and concerns verbally. While you are welcome to sit back and absorb what you are hearing and experiencing, we hope you will find something to engage with, some part of you where the Spirit is soothing your wounded places, causing you to question, or nudging you into action.

What is the community like?
This is a warm and friendly faith community eager to get to know you, but not pushy. We are intergenerational and firmly committed to being welcoming to all. We are an open and affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ, and we believe that God is still speaking! The church is very committed to social justice, and is generous to both local and far-away missions. Locally, we focus our efforts toward three organizations: Food Pantry, AIDS Network, and Domestic Abuse Intervention Services. We are also developing a closer relationship with an organization called Haiti Allies, which works on human needs, education and development issues.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are definitely welcome! We have had people of many faiths come to worship, and a number of regular attenders who consider themselves agnostic. You are welcome to visit and enjoy our fellowship if you practice any faith, or no faith at all. Jesus didn't exclude people, and neither will we.
