Who We Are

Our Mission:

We exist to join God in "pointing people to the truth of the gospel."

We understand that everyone's life points somewhere and we believe that the gospel is not only the gate onto the Christian path, but also the ground that the Christian walks on. The gospel not only brings us in, it also builds us up. So it is our ongoing mission to point ourselves and our city to the truth of who God is for us in Jesus and who we are in Him.

Our Beliefs:

God has spoken in the Scriptures. The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the only infallible and divine authority in all matters of faith and life.

There is only one God and He is eternal and self-existing in three persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).

God has created the entire universe out of nothing.

God created man in His image, with great dignity and value, to have fellowship with God and to glorify and enjoy Him.

All mankind participated in Adam's fall from his original sinless state and is thus lost in sin. Sin has bound us, broken us, and left us unable to save ourselves.

God's gracious plan for the salvation of His people from all ages included the giving of His one and only begotten Son, the God-man Jesus Christ, to serve as their mediator and all-sufficient Savior.

Jesus Christ serves as prophet, priest and king for His people. As Prophet, He is God's spokesman, revealing the truth to us. As Priest, He is our representative, having taken our sins upon Himself, having offered Himself as a sacrifice to satisfy divine justice and to reconcile us to God. As King, He is our Lord, Ruler, and Defender. He subdues us to Himself, rules and defends us, and conquers all of His and our enemies.

The salvation earned by Christ is applied to us by the Holy Spirit, who convinces us of our sin and enables us to receive Christ by faith alone.

God declares those who trust in Jesus Christ alone to be considered righteous (justified) in His sight, not for any merit of their own, but for the merit of Christ, which is imputed to them and received by faith alone. Through justification the undeserving sinner is considered clothed with the perfect righteousness of Christ.

God adopts all those whom He justifies–receiving them into His own family, making them joint heirs with Christ and giving them all the rights, privileges and responsibilities that had previously been granted only to the Son.

God expects His people to be growing in Christ-likeness by drawing near to Jesus Christ in ongoing repentance and faith. God calls His people to be dying more to sin and living more for the sake of righteousness, knowing that the goal of God's salvation is holiness, good works, and service for the glory of God.

At death, God will receive those who have trusted in Christ into glory to be with Christ forever, our souls at death, and our bodies in the final resurrection when Christ comes again. At death the Christian's soul passes immediately into the presence of God and the unbeliever's soul is eternally separated from God unto condemnation.

Jesus Christ will return to earth, visibly and bodily, at a time when He is not expected, to consummate history and the eternal plan of God. God will bring all things to a consummation at the final Judgment, taking His own to be with Him forever, and casting all others into hell forever.

Our Services

What are services like?
When and where are your services? We have one Sunday service which starts promptly at 10 a.m. We currently meet at Bear Lakes Middle School, 3505 Shenandoah Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33409. What are your Sunday services like? The dress and atmosphere tends to be relaxed but reverent. You can wear jeans. You can wear a tie. It’s your decision. We understand that God looks upon the heart, not the outward appearance. We ask only that you dress modestly. This means avoiding clothing that is particularly revealing or alluring in anyway. The music is Christ-exalting and full of energy, ranging from traditional hymns to the latest worship songs. The messages are always exposited from the Bible, point to Christ, and are taught in a relevant manner. What do you have for my children/infant? Every Sunday we have a dedicated and loving Children's ministry team that welcomes your child with open arms as Jesus did. We provide nursery care for infants and toddlers (6 months - 2 yrs) as well as a Bible-enriched Sunday School (age 3 - 11yrs) where your child/children will do more than just play. They will be encouraged to worship God by learning more about who He is for us in Jesus in a fun and engaging environment. What is expected of me when I arrive? When you visit Truth Point, you will not be put on the spot. We will not single you out or require you to give us any information. After the service, we will not come knocking on your door. We ask only that you give yourself completely to God in worship and be open to His Spirit teaching you and transforming you as you come to meet Him above all. Will I be asked to give financially to this church? No one will ask you for your purse or your wallet. However, each Sunday, during our service, we receive tithes and offerings. These financial gifts enable this church to fulfill the mission and vision God has given it. Both the Old and New Testaments teach us about giving in accordance to what God has given us. We believe giving is an act of worship and a demonstration of our gladness and faith in God. Do you have plans to meet in a permanent facility? Since Sept. 20, 2009, we have met at Bear Lakes Middle School. It has been a wonderful experience. However, we do plan to one day have a permanent centrally located facility that meets our needs as well as the needs of the West Palm Beach community.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Come as you are.

Jeremy McKeen

How and when did you come to know the Lord? I came to know the Lord because by His grace the Lord made Himself known to me. God revealed Himself to me through Philippians 3:9 which says, “and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith.” I had been raised by wonderful Christian parents and had read that verse probably 100 times, but suddenly on the floor of my dorm room as a junior in college, I saw the glory of the gospel for the first time. God showed me that the good news of Christianity was not holding out to God “a righteousness of my own” hoping He would accept my best efforts, but instead receiving the “righteousness from God” that He was holding out to me in Jesus. I realized that the perfect moral record I needed to stand before God was the very perfect moral record He gave me freely by faith in Christ. God revealed Himself to me, by revealing who He is in Jesus for me. How and when did you become involved in ministry? When God revealed the truth of the gospel to me as a junior in college, I had already been serving as my Fraternity’s Chaplain. This included giving a brief devotional message to the guys once a week, but after encountering the God of grace, the messages started to contain the gospel. But at this point, however, I still had my sights on becoming a Sports Center Anchor for ESPN. My pursuit of that dream took me as far as becoming one of a handful of paid interns with ESPN in Bristol, CT in the summer of 2003. Everything was going great. However, on July 28, I was reading My Utmost for His Highest and one section jumped off the page: “We should never have the thought that our dreams of success are God’s purpose for us. In fact, His purpose may be exactly the opposite.” God used that short devotional passage to cause me to ask if I was seeking my dream job in life or His dream job for me. How did God want me to use my gifts? I went back to college my senior year to finish my degree in Communications, and God’s hand was heavy upon me. In my heart I knew that he wanted me to go into ministry. I told no one. I was secretly struggling over God’s call for months. One night my roommate and I were up late and he proceeded to tell me that he had been ignoring me all day because he felt God was prompting him to tell me to drop broadcasting and go into full-time ministry. I jumped out of my bed and stared at him. I was stunned. I hadn’t told a soul. This had confirmed the call. I immediately called home to tell my parents, and my mom was in tears. Come to find out, my parents had been praying for twenty years that I would become a preacher of the gospel, but they never told me. They wanted me to know that it was God who called me, not them. With this call came a spirit of conviction, a sense of peace, and the start of my gospel ministry. *Jeremy received his Bachelors in Communication and Philosophy from Florida Southern College and his Masters of Divinity From Knox Theological Seminary.
