About Us

City and country come together in a community of faith proclaiming the inbreaking Kingdom of God

Trinity is a congregation that is growing in its witness to the Sandusky area. And, we understand that witnessing needs to happen outside our walls.

Sundays at Trinity, we come to worship God, but we also seek to be equipped to go forth as ambassadors for the coming Kingdom of God, as living witnesses to the justice and peace we anticipate when Christ returns in glory and the Kingdom arrives in all its fullness

We are personally engaged in such projects Care and Share of Erie County and our new adopt-a-school relationship with Venice Heights Elementary School. We financially support a number of service agencies in our area.

Our theological and Scriptural pendulum swings a little to the right, but we are good listeners, and we learn from the insights the Spirit grants to each of us.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our services are pretty much traditional, but we toss in and take out here and there, providing variety in what we do Sunday after Sunday. In our children's meditations, the kids often "steal the show," and we love it! Our pastor likes to create teaching moments during worship, talking about the particular day of the church year, a hymn or song we are singing and who wrote it and when, or perhaps places where Biblical translations differ and suggestions on how to choose among them.

What is the community like?
There are some bigger families in our congregation, but there are other families who feel just as much a part of us. We have quite a few children, and we are doing some good things with them. As is the case with many congregations whose families and individuals are caught up in all sorts of other activities, we struggle to maintain a faith community identity. But, we continue to strive with the Spirit to knit ourselves together into the Body of Christ we are intended to be.

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you are not a Christian, you are more than welcome to pay us a visit. We have come to discover that belonging precedes believing. If you come among us, like what you find, and feel comfortable "hanging" with us, super! We're not going to throw you on a table and start injecting you with Christian theology. We're going to let you be who you are, participate as you will, and let the Spirit do the rest. When you're ready, we'll talk about the basics. And, remember: none of us has this Christian stuff nailed down.
