Brad Wong

Brad Wong is appreciated by many for his insight, his listening ear, and his warm humor. Given his many similiarities to Master-Jedi Yoda (in wisdom, not in height), its no wonder Brad is our Lead Pastor. Prior to coming to The River, he served and led college students for fourteen years through the ministries of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at UC Berkeley, the University of San Francisco, and the University of Hawaii. After his years of ministry on college campuses, God began to grow in him a love for the local church, and that led him out of Hawaii and to The River in January 2001. At The River, Brad's role has included Transformation Ministries Pastor, Pastor of Spiritual Formation, and Shepherding Pastor. His wisdom and leadership have shaped who we are as a church. In September 2006, Brad assumed the responsibility of main Teaching Pastor and Lead Pastor. Brad and his wife Vickie are the proud parents of Lauren and Ryan.
