    Matt Peeples

Pastor Matt Peeples is the lead/founding pastor of The Point in Knoxville, TN. 2004 - Bachelors of Arts Mass Communications Journalism. Truman State University. 2009 - Masters of Divinity Concordia Seminary St. Louis, MO 2010 - Founding/Lead Pastor of The Point. We (Pastor Matt & the core team) started The Point as a church that is dedicated to reaching the disconnected in Knoxville. Through intentional community events, relationships with the disconnected, and savvy marketing we seek to meet people where they are. Our desire to meet people in the middle even stretches to our worship style and venue. We currently holds services in a movie theater and allows people to text in their questions worship. We believe while the gospel is unchanging the way it is presented needs to be relevant and understandable to our culture. That is our goal at The Point. Brief Bio of the church. In two short years The Point has made it's presense known in Knoxville. They are a regular presenses on the local hard rock station 94.3 The X. They frequently find themselves in the news for their community outreach efforts and use of technology. Are always creating new partnerships to connect with and bless their community. It is this passion for the disconnected that has been a catalyst allowing The Point to grow to an average weekly attendance of 200 with the average first time visitor who is 10 to 20 years disconnected from church. These efforts also lead The Point to be honored with the 2012 LCEF Fred E. Leitz mission award. Their mission is simple, to connect the disconnected. It is the heart of The Point, and the heart of Pastor Matt.
