Oasis Church - building relationships and making disciples for Jesus

We are a church that helps people find a vibrant, meaningful, powerful relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. We understand that it is essential to build relationships with other Christians in order to help build a strong relationship with Jesus. We have a wide variety of ministries available to provide the opportunity to spend time with other believers.
We offer good sound Bible teaching, wonderful praise and worship, children's church, boys and girls ministry on Wednesday nights and nursery. We will make you feel welcome and minister to you.

What to Expect

What are services like?
There is fellowship with coffee available before the service starts on Sunday morning. We start with an upbeat praise song, then we have announcements and take an offering, then we continue with praise and worship. That is followed by the sermon and a ministry time for special needs as the Lord leads. Wednesday nights for the adults is Bible teaching by various folks in a relaxed around the table setting. The youth meet separately for their ministry time as do the boys and girls. Nursery is also provided.

What is the community like?
We have people of all ages and professions in our congregation. There is a true sense of community and brotherhood in the group. There is genuine caring between the members. The atmosphere is casual, relaxed and friendly.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You will be welcomed with open arms and even though you will definitely be presented with the gospel, you will not be pressured or embarrassed in any way during or after the service. You will be given an opportunity to receive Jesus and should you choose to do so, you will be helped along with the decision. We will follow up with you afterward to help you along.

Tony Marshall

Tony, a Kingsport native, was called to the ministry at a young age. He attended ETSU, Evangel University and graduated from Midwest School of the Bible in 1983. He served churches in Colchester, IL, Kingsport, and Festus, MO. He served in an inner city ministry in St. Louis, MO, then came to First Assembly of God in Kingsport in 1996 and served as Children's Pastor and Senior Associate Pastor until 2003. He founded The OASIS Church in 2003 and has been the pastor since. Tony and wife, Debbie, who live in Kingsport, have 7 children.
