  • Bob Maddux

Pastor Bob Maddux has been in full time ministry since 1968. He is the founding pastor of The Connection, formerly Christian Life Assembly in Poway, California, a suburb of San Diego, where he has served as senior pastor since 1988. He enjoys the rich times of fellowship he has with his church family, and the powerful times of seeing lives changed in the presence of God. You’ll find him not only engaging in the delivery of his messages but also actively interacting with others before and after the services. He’s always had a heart to release people into God’s purpose for their lives and therefore takes great pleasure in partnering with them in ministry both here, in the community and around the world. Under his leadership the church has had an international impact through its various outreaches. One example is Project Compassion, which he co-founded in 1993. Its medical outreach program has touched over 40 nations and brought the gospel hand in hand with expert medical care to over a quarter of a million people. Along this same line he founded Healing The Nations Ministries which works with HIV/AIDS patients. Besides his Pastoral work he has ministered on five continents training national pastors and doing evangelistic outreaches. His overseas work led him to found Global Partners In Development which connects worthy business people in developing nations with partners here in the U.S. In 1976 he founded Capital Bible College and served as its president for nine years. In 1979 he founded and directed Jesus West Coast, a large annual missions festival attended yearly by thousands and credited with recruiting’ many into missions.
