My wife Jane and I are new in the area and are not even official members yet. I’ve had health conditions that has made it difficult to participate in services but we have been welcomed by Pastors Gary and Mike so warmly as well as from other members in many ways. The virtual connect has been a lifeline. Because of my health issues, Pastor Mike has me included in a prayer chain, which has also brought me support and comfort. Last Sunday afternoon I was blessed with a call from UW Hospital that a donor liver was available to me and we took the opportunity. These last days have been filled with awe for the staff here, my family’s support and the impact that care from old and new friends has on our lives. So many God moments are overwhelming. I still have a long road back but even if this road went downhill from here, God is great. Thank you Sugar River UMC community for being part of this journey. It means so much. Hope to be able to see and meet more of you soon.
