About Us

Radiating the light of Christ, St. Teresa's is a caring community of faith.

We come from a variety of ethnic, racial, and economic backgrounds. We include nuclear, multi-generational, single-parent, and blended families. Young and young-at-heart worship, play, and serve together Many of us have come to St. Teresa's from Catholic, Baptist, and other denominational backgrounds. God has adopted us through Christ, so we belong to the same family. As we say in our baptismal vows, "we seek to serve Christ in all persons." Our Children's Program and Mothers Morning Out are open to all members of the surrounding community.

What to Expect

What are services like?
St. Teresa's makes the richness and reverence of the Episcopal tradition comfortable and inviting. We laugh in church. We think in church. We lift up our hearts and all that is dear to us. We offer a nursery for infants and toddlers, but we also welcome children of all ages to worship with us, and those age 10 and older may sign up for specific roles in the liturgy.

What is the community like?
There are plenty of things to do if you want to be part of our community. Do you like to: • do the Church Altar linens, Usher, be a Lector or Acolyte? (Worship Committee) • do print or electronic communications? (Communications) • do visits to the sick and home bound? (Pastoral Care) • do activities to welcome and embrace newcomers? (Newcomers Committee) • do work on major church events? (Parish Life) • do work on maintenance and gardening? (Parish Properties) • do you like helping mission work, providing the homeless meals? (Missions & Ministries) • do you like working with children and youth? (Youth Ministries) • do you like to be involved with church finances? (Finance Committee) • do you like to work with God's gifts of time, talent and money? (Stewardship Committee) • do you like to eat lunch with friends and parishioners? (Romeo & Juliets) • do you like to do retreats, quiet days, prayer groups and other spiritual activities (Daughters of the King) • do you like recycling? (Green Team) • do you like to dig in the dirt? (St. Teresa’s Gardeners) These are a few of the opportunities for you to give your time and talents towards your Stewardship commitment.
