Michael Gilligan

Niles College of Loyola University; Laval University; Prairie State College; South Suburban College; University of Toronto; BA in philosophy from University of St Mary of the Lake, 1965; STL from University of St Mary of the Lake, 1971; Ph.D. in theology from University of Notre Dame, 1981. Member, Hymn Society of United States and Canada, North American Academy of liturgy, and Societas Liturgica. He has lectured at Catholic Theological Union, Lewis University, Praire Christian Training Center (Saskatchewan), St. Patrick's College (Dublin), University of Fribourg (Switzerland), Turku Christian Institute (Finland), Maison Saint Sixte (Reims, France), and elsewhere. Editor of the American Catholic Hymnbook, Leaflet Missal periodical, and Parish Liturgy periodical. Author of numerous articles and book reviews. Executive Director, American Catholic Press.
