What people say about St. Patrick Catholic Church

  • Most beautiful Church and my Uncle was Pastor there in the 1950's and 60's and we visited him and my grandmother who lived with him for many many years. I 1st served Mass in St Patricks with my older brother as our Uncle celebrated the most wonderful of Sacraments! Fantastic parishioners were a part of this parish like the Wynns, Hickeys, etc. etc.! My uncle knew he was highly blessed being among the saints 2 B in Camp Grove!
After my uncle's death some years back I drove my mom to Camp Grove from Peoria and the drive only took 10 or 15 minutes. As a kid in the '50s it seemed like almost a half a day's journey,
I love the mid-west, especially the folks in and around Camp Grove!

Ah, my thanks to the Peoria Diocese for forming a wonderful man so completely for the priesthood! This man became my bishop in the 1960's in Rochester, N.Y. and you all know his name....Bishop Fulton Sheen! He presented me with my college diploma and my future mother-in-law would soon have only one layer above her as she became the 1st lay person to over see lay-teachers in the Diocese of Rochester, NY,. I pray to Bishop Fulton knowing he truly is a Saint!
    Praise be Jesus and Mary!
    Peace,
    Deacon Leo Flynn
