What to Expect

What are services like?
Our worship is centered around two things: God's Word and God's Table. The first half of our worship is focused on biblical readings which culminates in a reflection on what those reading mean to us in today's world. Following Jesus command to break bread together, the second half of our service celebrates Jesus last meal with his disciples (i.e. the Eucharist or Communion). We are blessed to have a talented group of musicians who lead congregational singing. They lead us in a variety of music from traditional hymns to chant to contemporary christian music.

What if I'm not a Christian?
St. Mark's welcomes all people into our community. Period. This means you may freely participate in worship or any activity we are engaged in. If you are interested in learning about the Christian faith, you may consider us a resource open to sharing our experiences with you and willing to engage in any conversation that would be helpful to you. If you are interested in becoming a Christian, we would help you prepare for baptism which is the process by which a person commits themselves to Jesus.
