About Us

Established in 1980.

St. Mark's land/property consists of 13 acres in Antioch, Tennessee, just off Murfreesboro Pike. There is a labyrinth where one can walk and silently contemplate and commune with God. St. Mark's Episcopal Church was established as a "diocesan mission." The church was founded with about 10 families meeting first in a Methodist church and then in a school cafeteria. Within 3 years, 13 acres of choice property facing Murfreesboro Road was purchased and an existing house was rebuilt into a church building. This proved to be too small, and the original facility was expanded to its present size in 1991. In January 2000, St. Mark's became a parish in the Diocese of Tennessee. We celebrated our 35th Anniversary in November 2015. We invite you to join us. You will find a warm and friendly welcome at St. Mark's.

Let's be real. Life changing experiences don't happen to us every day. Feeding the hungry and clothing the naked? Good works are only half the story. Seeking a loving God through Holy Scripture, prayer and discipline? We falter. We fear. But we keep going. And that can be harder. But the Holy Spirit is here. Jesus is with us an we are with Him. You don't have to travel alone. St. Mark's is a small church where you are valued and have an opportunity to make a difference in your life and that of others. It's a welcoming and openhearted church that will meet you wherever you are on the journey.
