    Kathryn Boren

    Kathryn grew up in the Booker United Methodist Church and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a degree in Latin American Studies. Kathryn has been shaped by a variety of ministry opportunities and settings including being a mission intern with the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries assigned to Honduras then New York City. Following that experience, she was the student-pastor of an inner-city church while attending St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City. She pastored a two-point charge for a year after completing seminary and then was an associate pastor at St. Paul UMC in Abilene for four years. She served the Panhandle United Methodist Church and St. John's United Methodist Church before coming to St. Luke's in the summer of 2008. Kathryn serves on the Board of Directors of the General Board of Church and Society as well as the Northwest Texas Conference Board of Ordained Ministry.
