What to Expect

What are services like?
Our liturgical style includes the membership in worshipful response rather that just being an observer in the pew. We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion bi-weekly. All are invited to the Lord's table. With an incredibly talented and longstanding music tradition, St. Luke's utilizes both contemporary and traditional settings of the liturgies. It can range the gamut of our in house Praise Band, to an Old Time Gospel Hymn Sing, and everything in between. Our Spanish Lutheran service is flavored with joyful Hispanic music and spontaneity.

What is the community like?
St. Luke's is situated right at sidewalk level. We have been a community based church since our founding. We partner with other community groups to fill the needs and interests of our urban community. We are part of the new renaissance of the city, filled with flavorful international restaurants, a new arena for big name concerts and home to our hockey team, the Phantoms, a vibrant arts community, historic architectural districts, and much more.

What if I'm not a Christian?
There is a place for you here. This is a place for you to comfortably explore your journey that has brought you here. This a place that you can be accepted and grow. We are here for you as fellow learners in our faith as we strive together, to support one and other and live as Jesus taught us. We are here to celebrate with you the gift God has given us in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
