What people say about St. Helena's
-
What we loved, about our than daughters education, was that it was Christ centered. What we didn't love was that our kindergartener, was penalized in her kindergarten class, for not being capable of reciting the alphabet.
Our daughter Lilah, was baptized at 27 days old and had always been in church with our entire family. She wasn't able to fully speak until age 6.
Come to find out, Lilah was punished x2 a day from her recesses, due to the fact she was unable to dictate alphabetical letters verbally.
For this, she had to forgo both of her kindergarten recesses. This was made about behavior, NOT ability.
Today, Lilah has been through repeated evaluations and found to be profoundly DYSLEXIC. The hurt and shame our daughter had to endure was NOT in any way appropriate.
