I am so glad that St Anthony is still serving the community. My family lived right across the street from the old church and my parents and grandparents were all married there. My great grandmother Beatrice Masessa was a founding member and my brothers and I were baptized there. My parents uncles aunts and cousins all attended school at St Anthony. I have a copy of the church's 75th anniversary book that I often refer to reminisce about our family, in it my cousins referred to the parish as the best Italian parish in the city of Chicago. It is heartening to know that the church is still serving the latest group of immigrants to our country just as it did so many years ago to my Italian relatives. In 1958 my parents moved to Chattanooga, TN where we have been members of St Jude Catholic Church. My God bless you and all of your parishioner's, keep up the good work. My contact [email protected]
