Who We Are

St. Anthony's Friary is the Province of the Immaculate Conception's Franciscan presence in Catskill NY which has been here since the end of the 19th century. The current building, dedicated in 1958, was built as the novitiate for the province. The Chapel is a beautiful liturgical space where all are welcome to join in Sunday and Daily Mass. We are proud of the active participation of the worshiper with robust singing and a sincere prayer life. Join us to Praise Almighty God for all of the gifts we have received from Him.

  • My wife Wendy I are going to start attending services every Sunday. We love Fr. Brennan!
  • I am so amazed at the daily mass attendees. Some with significant disabilities. It took a while to develop an ability to read the short version of the daily readings but am now familiar with the proceedings and enjoy the mass whenever I can attend. I am 84 years old, a cancer survivor and wear an osteo bag which sometimes makes it difficult to attend but do so when possible. My present wife is very ill and doctors have told us there is no cure. My first wife passed away in 1984 at the age of 44 from complications with breast cancer. I feel welcomed at the Friary. Thank you. Especially, Father Eagen.
